Home of Sen. John Kerry • 19 Louisburg Square at Pinckney St. • Beacon Hill, Charles/MGH T stop • Boston
Three years after the onset of the Great Recession, Washington is focused on cutting deficits instead of on creating jobs. Senator John Kerry is one of 12 members of a Super Committee charged with cutting $1.5 trillion from the deficit. Will he stand firm?
We will rally at Sen. Kerry’s house to present demands on behalf of the vast majority of Massachusetts residents:
• Create jobs and get people back to work
• Restore fairness to the tax system
• Hands off Social Security and health benefits
• End the wars, bring the troops home and cut military spending
Assemble after the “Ending the Endless Wars and Occupations” conference, 5:00 p.m. at 41 Temple St., and march to Sen. Kerry’s house, or meet us at 19 Louisburg Square at 5:30 p.m. We will display a giant postcard to Sen. Kerry, sing songs, use visual aids to dramatize the effect of the planned cutbacks, and deliver appeals from Massachusetts residents.
Sponsors: United for Justice with Peace, Fund Our Communities/ Cut Military Spending 25% Campaign, Massachusetts Peace Action, Majority Agenda Project, Massachusetts Alliance of HUD Tenants, US UNCUT Boston
After the rally, send an online postcard to Sen. Kerry, write a letter to the editor, and tell us how you can volunteer.
