Massachusetts Peace Action and 78 other organizations are supporting the Budget for All, which is on the ballot in 91 Massachusetts cities and towns as Question 4, 5, 6 or 7 (find out which question number it is in your town). Can you help push the Budget for All on Election Day?
The Budget for All calls on Congress to withdraw troops from Afghanistan NOW, cut the military budget, create jobs, preserve social security, medicare and other services, and tax the wealthy and corporations. It’s the progressive solution to our nation’s budget crisis.
Over 1 million Massachusetts residents will have the opportunity to vote for the Budget for All, but our grassroots coalition hasn’t been able to reach all of them, and many may not know what it is. We need your help getting the word out, by standing at the polls and handing cards to voters. Can you spend a couple of hours getting the word out on Election Day? We’ve gotten many endorsements by elected officials including State Treasurer Steve Grossman, State Auditor Suzanne Bump, Representatives Mike Capuano (in the center of the photo at the top of this article), Ed Markey, Barney Frank, and Jim McGovern, 10 State Senators, 18 State Representatives, and City Councilors from Boston and other cities.
