“[T]he alternative to disarmament […] may very well be a civilization plunged into the abyss of annihilation”.

The urgent issue of nuclear disarmament is still as pressing today as it was during Dr. King’s lifetime.
April 27, 2015 is when the nations of the world meet at the UN to determine what can be done to compel the U.S. and other nuclear weapons states to adhere to their unmet commitments of nuclear disarmament. On the 26th, thousands of people from Japan, Europe, the U.S. and around the world will march in New York, urging the elimination of nuclear weapons by the U.S. and the other nuclear weapons states as they attend the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference. In the footsteps of Dr. King, we will call for an end to militarism and war, action to save the planet from climate catastrophe, and a focus on social justice.
A world free of the threat of nuclear devastation starts with elimination of the U.S. and other nuclear arsenals. Will you help us continue the work of Dr. King by joining us in New York City to press the U.S. and other nuclear states to start negotiating?
