Music for Peace – May 7

Join us Saturday, May 7, 7:00 p.m., at a private home on Frances Avenue in Cambridge for a Music for Peace concert and reception to benefit Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund!


Benjamin Warsaw, piano, and Elissa Alvarez, soprano, will perform works by Brahms, Fauré, Mompou, Rachmaninoff and Warsaw.

Wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be served at a reception after the concert.

Pianist, teacher Benjamin Warsawand accompanist Benjamin Warsaw has performed at the Chautauqua Institute for the Arts, the International Keyboard Festival, the Brandywine International Piano Festival, and the Banff Center Piano Master Classes. Mr. Warsaw holds both a B.M. and M.M. from the Eastman School of Music and is currently a candidate for the Doctorate in Piano Performance at Boston University.
Elissa Alvarez

Soprano Elissa Alvarez has sung with the Handel and Haydn Society and has played the roles of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Anunciata in Bolcom’s Lucrezia, Contessa Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and others. Recent concert performances include Schubert’s Mass in G, Bach’s B Minor Mass, and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor. Ms. Alvarez is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University.
