The new US attacks on Syria are unwise, illegal, and counterproductive, just like the air strikes on Iraq that started in June.
The public is confused, but we can turn public opinion against this war just as we did against the 2003-2011 Iraq war.
Mass. Peace Action calls on peace activists, people of faith, labor and community group members, teachers and students, to join leafleting and vigiling — to respond quickly and forcefully and let people know how wrong this is.
Billions will be wasted on this war — taking money we need for schools, healthcare, transportation, jobs and stopping climate change.
Organize a forum or speakouts in your community, church, labor union or campus to generate discussion and debate. The more people examine this new war the more they will turn against it. We can help you find a speaker if you need ideas.
Call Congress next week! Congress has adjourned until after the election, ducking its responsibility to control warmaking by the president. Ask them to vote NO on any authorization for use of military force in the Middle East. (202) 224-3121
