Directions to MIT
You are strongly urged to take the MBTA to the conference as parking in the area is limited. Use the Kendall station on the Red Line. From Kendall, walk west, or away from the river, two blocks on Main Street and turn left on Vassar St. Registration and plenary sessions will be held in the EG &G Education Center, also called building 34, located at 50 Vassar Street. See the Conference Map.
Red Line Warning: Buses will replace Red Line trains between Harvard and Alewife all day Saturday, Nov. 8. See the MBTA notice. Allow extra travel time if you are coming to MIT from Porter, Davis, or Alewife stations.
Parking
See MIT’s information on parking. The small lot at Vassar St. and Massachusetts Ave. is free on weekends, as is the larger Hayward St. Lot. There are several commercial parking garages in the area, listed on the MIT parking page. See the Conference Map.
Lunch
Lunch will be served to registered conference attendees at 12:45 on the third floor of building 34. Please take your lunch to the plenary room or a nearby classroom to eat it and deposit trash in the receptacles.
Morning coffee will be served starting at 9:00 am near the registration table on the first floor of building 34.
