Time to Elect Pro-Peace Candidates!

With the September 4 primary election less than two weeks away, several of our peace candidates are in close races and they need our last-minute support to win!   Here’s a quick rundown of what we can do to push them over the top!

 

Bob Massie powerfully represents Peace Action’s values and is in a close primary race for Governor.  You can take action to support him in three ways:

Jimmy TingleJimmy Tingle is in a close race for Lieutenant Governor.

Michael CapuanoMike Capuano is running for re-election to Congress in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area in a closely watched race.   

Barbara L’Italien is running for Congress against 10 other candidates in the Lowell-Lawrence area.

 

Tahirah Amatul-Wadud

Tahirah Amatul-Wadud is running for Congress against an entrenched incumbent who sees no problem with increased military spending in the Springfield-Holyoke-Chicopee-Berkshires area.

Bill CimbreloBill Cimbrelo is running for Congress against an incumbent with a poor peace record in the Plymouth/ New Bedford/ Cape Cod area.

Jo ComerfordJo Comerford is our dream candidate for State Senator, an experienced and effective peace organizer, running in the Northampton -Greenfield area.  

Nika ElugardoNika Elugardo is a visionary progressive champion in Jamaica Plain and surrounding areas, running against a cautious supporter of the State House of Representatives’ leadership.

Darrin Howell is a labor organizer and grassroots activist running in the Roxbury/Dorchester area.  

Other candidates we’ve endorsed who face primary challenges include Donna Patalano for Middlesex district attorney and Sabrina Heisey and Sean Garballey for state representative.
