A sampling of inflammatory comments by current Israeli government officials:
“MK [now Deputy Defense Minister] Eli Ben Dahan, a rabbi who’s made controversial statements about Palestinians and non-Jews, will serve as Israel’s next deputy defense minister.
…Ben Dahan has made controversial remarks about Palestinians. While discussing the resumption of peace talks in a radio interview in 2013, Ben Dahan said that “To me, they are like animals, they aren’t human.”
Ben Dahan used the phrase “hayot-adam” (“man-beasts”) – as did Yair Lapid more recently (former coalition partner head & celebrated “moderate”) http://www. haaretz.com/israel-news/. premium-1.681410
and
“We tried peace and there is no peace,” said Rabbi Ben-Dahan. “We asked them to leave Israel and they did not leave. You won’t have a Palestinian State, you won’t be reborn here in this land. The entire Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People.”
Moshe Ya’alon referencing the “Palestinian threat” as “cancer-like”; Ayelet Shaked reposting a call for mothers of Palestinian “terrorists” to “follow their sons [“to hell”], nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.” The current Defense and Justice Ministers, respectively.
Tzipi Hotovely, Deputy Foreign Minister: ““This land is ours. All of it is ours. We did not come here to apologise for that… We expect as a matter of principle of the international community to recognise Israel’s right to build homes for Jews in their homeland, everywhere.” – http://www.theguardian.com/ world/2015/may/22/israels-new- deputy-foreign-minister-this- land-is-ours-all-of-it-is-ours
Uri Ariel, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development: “We’ve built many little, little temples, but we need to build a real Temple on the Temple Mount.” – http://www.timesofisrael. com/minister-calls-for-third- temple-to-be-built/
