The A New Day? Organizing to Change US Policy on Israel and Palestine conference will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., at Harvard University, Jefferson Laboratory 250.
Directions to Venue and Parking Information
The Lecture Hall at Jefferson Laboratory is part of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), located just north of historic Harvard Yard (beyond the Science Center). It’s physical address is 17 Oxford St., but the structure is not visible from the street and a campus map should be consulted.
Jefferson Lab is a 10-minute walk from the Harvard Square MBTA station, and we encourage use of the “T” for those able to access the Red Line.
Commercial parking in the Harvard Square vicinity is plentiful. The most affordable option may be the University Place Garage ($10 with validation from a local merchant).
The Harvard University Parking system is affordable and relatively close to our conference venue, but can only be used by establishing an online account in advance and pre-printing your permit. You will need to select “Visitor to Campus” as the Department, and “7700” as the code. You will also need to have your license plate number to hand, be prepared to supply contact information, and know that “52 Oxford St weekends” or “SEAS weekends” are the nearest parking locations to select. When asked for “affiliation,” enter “CMES Event Participant.” The $7 fee can be paid with a credit card.
The conference will begin promptly at 12:30, so kindly allow extra time to negotiate local traffic and/or on-foot travel.
Please be aware that our schedule is a full one with only a 15 minute break. Harvard Square has many breakfast/brunch options (of course) and this could be another reason to arrive well in advance of our scheduled start time.
