As of May 30th, the U.S. has spent $1 trillion on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. For those of you who also have trouble wrapping your head around that number, it looks like this: $1,000,000,000,000.
That money could have been spent on creating new jobs, healthcare for millions of Americans, oil spill cleanup, or countless other much needed projects.
